Wow.....so much can happen in a year. Living with Michael was great this year, however we decided to split up, stay friends, move into our own places and focus completely on our careers/futures. Just not the right time to settle down. It sucks, but I have big plans for my art and for my career in the film industry (and I'm also excited to see what Michael is going to accomplish!). I still want to be an editor and I have been working as a logger for a great television production studio in Burbank. Recently I have been given some more responsibility and hopefully I can move into an assistant editor position in the near future! I have big plans for a website to showcase my cooking instructional videos for my family favorite recipes (that I will write, star in, and edit), and I'm also planning on releasing a small cookbook that I will design and illustrate to accompany my little enterprise. It's a huge project but I'm confident that it will prove to be beneficial to my career as well as exercise my creative muscles. I have a handful of friends that will help crew, so as soon as I move into my new place I will work out a shooting schedule (4 episodes before the site goes up), finish the designs and layouts, and choose the release dates for the website and cookbook. I also have several blank canvases floating around that I would like to get started on -have some great ideas for abstract paintings with plaster gauze sculptures/textures. I also want to take some more live drawing classes and get back into drawing full color portraits again! So this year was interesting, but next year will blow this year out of the water. So stay tuned.
